We stripped the whole thing, painted all the parts, put in some polyurethane bushings and decided to do something weird.

Nothing weird here, just Sprag testing the ball joints. The smoke is from one of the routine gas-soaked rag fires...

The spindle on the right is the TA part, the other one came off a huge friggin' station wagon with great big brakes. The other thing is Sprags steel plate that popped out of his skull during the ball joint test. We heard that you can use spindles from a cop car or station wagon and 3rd gen 1LE rotors and make some really bitchin' brakes. We found some cop car spindles at the pick-n-pull but we were afraid that they might attract other cop cars...

We mocked it up before wasting any time actually cleaning anything. You can see that there isn't a lot of clearance between the rim and caliper. This outfit wouldn't work on 7X15 rims.

We cut 1/2 a coil off the springs...

We be scared shitless of springs because they can do REALLY BAD stuff to you if they get loose.. We're to cheap to buy a spring compressor. That one belongs to Mark Davis, SUPERGURU. The rest of that crap is ours.

There it is sort of installed. Still a few bugs to work out like wheel studs and maybe some brake pads.
