It'll buff out...

Yea, This might freak out the average motorhead but not two total morons with a welder and an old washing machine.

The first step to repair this kind of rot is to cut a BIG FRIGGIN' HOLE in your car.

Don't get excited like Stall did and weld your pliers to the panel.

Cleco fasteners ROCK. Just be careful and don't weld them to your car. We would never do something so stupid but we've heard of it being done...

This is about half of the repair done. We had to stop to put the fires out and thought we'd quit while we were ahead. You can't even see those pliers with the patch welded in.

Shouldn't take that much filler...

Here's another view that's not for the faint hearted

Roughed in with new steel. We jumped around a lot on the MALIBRUISER because we just wanted to see some stuff done. This time around we're doing ALL the welding and hammer/dolly work before cracking a can of primer.

This is the stuff we're using this time around. Since the 'SLAM is being stripped of all paint we're using some kind of etching stuff. Last time we used Z-Grip filler but all the guys on the bulletin boards said to use this Rage stuff. We tried it but it's not as spicy as Bondo. Sprag tried it with some nachos and hasn't shit in a week...

STAY TUNED
